They can be used in shallow water, and deep water which has lots of places for fish to hide. When it comes to catching bass, plastic worms work great in virtually any kind of water, clean or dirty.
Crankbaits – Crankbaits are hard-bodied lures which imitate small fish. They matches the fish you are fishing for, its available in multiple colours and styles. Crankbaits work especially well for deeper-water fishing, as they can dive down. A crankbait is a large bait that wobbles and attracts big bass that are looking for their next meal.
Spinnerbaits – Spinnerbaits are a whole other classic lure that tends to work tremendously for bass fishing. They are a shiny metal blade that creates and flashes in the water, drawing the attention of a bass even from afar. These are ideal for fishing in shallow water, such as right near the shores of a lake or river.

Observe the water clarity – For dirty and/or debris- ridden water choose a bait that has a visible to the fish color or a noise! Dark lures improve visibility in muddied water. In clear water, you want to select a lure that is more natural in appearance.
