There was once a little fisherman who lived in a small town by the river and loved to go fishing with his dad. Each weekend, they'd pack up their gear and head to their favorite fishing hole. The small fisherman liked catching all sorts of fish, but his very favourite kind of fish was the bass. The reason bass are so exciting to catch is they are strong fish and when hooked really put up a fight. The tiny fisherman always was inquiring of his father, “What are the best lures to catch the bass? His dad would chuckle then say, "Well son, it's about using the right lure for the job! "
Wet jig: This lure is meant to bounce along the bottom of the water. It resembles a small dwelling thing crawling around, which might be a bug or a small fish. When bass see it twitching, they think it’s an easy meal and hit it.
Crankbait: This is a lure that swims through the water much like a real fish would. What it has is a diving lip that enables it to swim at variable depths. The bass think it’s their next meal and they just bite it!
How to Catch A Big Bass Like an expert tackle says, " To catch big bass, you have to throw a big lure. " He likes a 10-inch worm or a big swimbait the size of your hand. The larger the lure, the more aggressive, larger bass are likely to strike it.
Pro angler Jane said, “Another secret to catching large bass is to fish in deep water. “In anything deeper than 10 feet, a jig or crankbait always works well,” she says. Especially in the hot summer months bass are often fond of hiding in deeper areas.
Jerkbait: This bait resembles an injured fish thrashing around in water. The bass is ready for an easy meal, and will charge to get it. The emulating movements of the jerkbait simulate a fish in distress, which is very attractive to hungry bass.
Plastic Worm: This type of lure is perfect for shallow water fishing. There is a variety of colors that will help to catch more fish. Plastic worms are shaped with wiggly appendages that soft as a feather attracts the bass.
